Designing a Visual Stakeholder Mapping Platform

Context

Stars European Universities is an alliance between nine complementary European universities to establish channels of collaboration in initiatives of different types, seeking to promote the exchange of ideas, people and innovation in both research and teaching innovation in the classic functions of the university is necessary in the face of a future of unprecedented social change. 

The primary objectives of STARS EU Living Labs are to foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders and drive innovation that addresses pressing societal challenges. 

Living Lab ACCESS is the gateway to European collaboration that gives access to (digital) health innovations for everyone and supports healthy, connected living. 


Assignment

The ecosystem of digital health in Europe is very dynamic and broad; with living lab ACCESS partners of Stars EU aim to gather in multistakeholder events, for which different meetups are taking place. To be able to collaborate efficiently, we are looking for a visual mapping platform where stakeholders can see, find, inform each other about their professional interests and chances for collaboration.

ACCESS aims to bridge the digital health gap in Europe through following key activities: 

  • Networking and leveraging regional initiatives to European partnerships
  • Co-creation in challenge-based workshops and learning environments and 
  • Facilitating joint research and development for innovation that enables ACCESS to (digitally) inclusive healthy ageing activities

Design challenge: How to design a visual stakeholder mapping of ACCESS living lab and facilitate interaction between involved stakeholders in a meaningful and fun way?

Endproduct

Prototype of a digital visual mapping tool for multistakeholder interaction facilitation. This prototype will be tested and evaluated by the student with Stars EU ACCESS stakeholders on usability and added value.
