Ben jij benieuwd hoe de overheid er in de toekomst uit kan zien? In het DITlab Discover Innovations of Tomorrow werk je samen met andere studenten n professionals van DUO aan vernieuwende vraagstukken rond digitale identiteit en publieke dienstverlening.

Het DITlab is gevestigd in de Digital Society Hub en biedt jou de kans om te leren experimenteren en bijdragen aan echte innovaties. Denk bijvoorbeeld aan het digitaal uitgeven van diplomas dat grote impact kan hebben op hoe DUO haar diensten inricht. Of het testen van een persoonlijke datakluis die automatisch gegevens deelt met je aanvraag voor studiefinanciering allemaal projecten die nog volop in ontwikkeling zijn.

Je gaat aan de slag met actuele complexe vraagstukken waarvoor we gebruikmaken van een gestructureerde innovatieaanpak. Samen onderzoeken we wat er technisch mogelijk is en wat gebruikers nodig hebben.

In het DITlab werk je:

- In multidisciplinaire teams met studenten en DUOmedewerkers

- Met opkomende technologien zoals Large Language Models Self Sovereign Identity SSI Verifiable CredentialsVC en datakluizen

- In een open en dynamische leeromgeving waar experimenteren en samenwerken centraal staan

Werk mee aan de digitale overheid van morgen in het DITlab van DUO In het DITlab onderzoeken we hoe AI burgers kan helpen bij complexe overheidszaken. Maar hoe ziet zon Meedenkservice er in de praktijk uit? We zoeken een CMGTstudent die geen statisch rapport schrijft maar een interactieve klikbare demo bouwt die ons verhaal vertelt aan de buitenwereld.

De Opdracht: Ontwerp de Interactieve User Journey

Jouw doel is het ontwikkelen van een interactief scenario denk aan een geavanceerde textadventure of klikbare flow dat laat zien hoe AI data en mensen samenwerken. Je bouwt geen productieklaar systeem maar een prototype dat antwoord geeft op de vraag Hoe werkt dit straks echt?

In dit prototype breng je drie elementen samen:

1. Inclusieve Storytelling De AI past zich aan. Je bouwt verschillende paden voor diverse personas van de vlotte student tot de formele oudere of de laaggeletterde burger die behoefte heeft aan eenvoudige taal B1 en visuele hulp.

2. Hybride Intelligentie Maak de Black Box inzichtelijk. Laat in de interface zien wanneer het systeem een simpele FAQ checkt wanneer het zware geschut LLM wordt ingezet en wanneer er live data via tools wordt opgehaald.

3. HumanintheLoop Het proces stopt niet bij de AI. Je ontwerpt ook de interface voor de DUOmedewerker. Hoe ziet de overdracht van AI naar mens eruit? Hoe behoudt de medewerker de finale controle?

Wat ga je doen?

- User Journeys Scripts Definieer de paden die verschillende burgers bewandelen en schrijf de dialogen.

- Interactief Prototype Bouw de flow in tools zoals Figma advanced prototyping Framer of een lightweight webapp ReactVue.

- Visualiseren van Techniek Maak inzichtelijk wat er onder de motorkap gebeurt bijv. een statusupdate AI checkt nu de wetgeving....

- Dialoog Stimuleren Jouw prototype is een gespreksstarter over ethiek privacy en gebruiksvriendelijkheid voor onze stakeholders.

Wie zoeken wij?

- Een student CMGT of CMD.

- Affiniteit met AI en LLMs je hoeft ze niet te trainen wel te begrijpen.

- Een talent voor storytelling je kunt complexe techniek vertalen naar een begrijpelijk en boeiend verhaal.

- Ervaring met prototypingtools of frontend development is een absolute pre.

Located within the Digital Society Hub the DITlab offers you the opportunity to learn experiment and contribute to realworld innovations. Think of projects like issuing digital diplomas which could fundamentally change how DUO organizes its services. Or testing a personal data vault that automatically shares information with your study finance applicationprojects that are currently in full development.

You will tackle current complex issues using a structured innovation approach. Together we explore both technical possibilities and user needs.

Build the Digital Government of Tomorrow at DUOs DITlab At the DITlab we explore how AI can assist citizens with complex government matters. But what does such an AI Assistant actually look like in practice? We are looking for a CMGT student who wont just write a static report but will build an interactive clickable demo that tells our story to the world.

The Challenge: Design the Interactive User Journey

Your goal is to develop an interactive scenariothink of an advanced text adventure or a clickable flowthat visualizes how AI data and humans collaborate. You arent building a productionready product but a prototype that answers the question How will this actually work in the real world?

In this prototype you will bring three elements together:

1. Inclusive Storytelling The AI adapts. You will build different paths for various personas from the techsavvy student to the formal senior or the citizen with low literacy who needs simple language B1 level and visual support.

2. Hybrid Intelligence Open the Black Box. Use the interface to show when the system performs a simple FAQ check when it activates the heavy artillery LLM for complex advice and when it uses tools to fetch live data.

3. HumanintheLoop The process doesnt end with the AI. You will also design the interface for the DUO employee. What does the handover from AI to human look like? How does the employee maintain final control?

What will you do?
- User Journeys Scripting Define the paths different citizens take and write the dialogues for each persona.

- Interactive Prototyping Build the flow using tools like Figma advanced prototyping Framer or a lightweight web app ReactVue.

- Visualizing Technology Make the hidden processes visible e.g. status updates like AI is currently crosschecking regulations....

- Stimulating Dialogue Your prototype serves as a conversation starter about ethics privacy and usability for our stakeholders.

Who are we looking for?

- A student in CMGT or CMD.

- An affinity for Artificial Intelligence and LLMs you dont need to train them but you must understand how they function.

- A talent for storytelling you can translate complex technology into a clear and engaging narrative.

- Experience with prototyping tools or frontend development is a significant plus.
